Annoucing the loss of an admired employee

May 4, 2023

With great sorrow and sadness, Pars Equality Center (Pars) announces the loss of a valuable and irreplaceable member of our San Jose social services staff, Ms. Fataneh Shahami Gohar. Fataneh’s life summed up in two words: Community Service.

Her goal in life was to help vulnerable, low-income populations and she did just that until a few days before her passing. She was kind with a giving heart.  She helped people without wanting anything in return. She was straightforward, honest, gracious and truly loved what she did for others.

Fataneh had a major role in setting the foundation of Pars’s Social Services in San Jose, CA.  Her love for our community was noticeable on a daily basis for the past eleven years. Among other initiatives, she led a successful tax return program for low-income individuals and families.  Thanks to her hard work, IRS has consistently awarded Pars 100% satisfaction since the inception of the program in 2012.

All of us at Pars are heartbroken from her loss. We continue to carry Fataneh in our hearts and wish her soul to Rest In Peace.
