We are thrilled to share the completion and accomplishments of the SEED Entrepreneurship Program at Pars Equality Center, sponsored by the Employment Training Panel (ETP) and the Workforce Development Board (CWDB). Over the past two years, the SEED Program has empowered our community by providing comprehensive entrepreneurship training and support. Each quarter, we selected 17-20 participants from a highly competitive pool and guided them through intensive training on essential business topics, from marketing strategies to business taxation. With over 166 attendees, 117 received grants averaging $2,500-$3,000, totaling $313,169. Participants also benefited from a year of technical support and private consultations. Upon completion, they received certificates and grants to kickstart their businesses. The program has been a tremendous success, resulting in the creation of 50 new businesses and over 100 new jobs, especially benefiting women and new immigrants. As we concluded the program in June 2024, we are proud of its positive impact and remain committed to fostering the growth of micro and small businesses in California.
