Guadalupe Jasso is a paralegal in the works of becoming a Department of Justice Accredited Representative. Guadalupe graduated with a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Chicanx Studies in the spring of 2019 at CSUCI. Guadalupe has two years’ experience working with immigration law firms in the private sector as a legal assistant. Guadalupe also has prior experience working in a non-profit in the Ventura County area, where the program focused on a philosophy and a framework that concentrated on empowering families. Through her access to higher education, she has learned to use an intersectionality lens that has allowed her to adapt her work ethic through cultural humility. Pursuing a higher education was influenced through the urgency to create a platform that would enable her to advocate for vulnerable populations in communities. She aspires to go to law school one day and become an immigration attorney. Guadalupe is also fluent in English and Spanish.
