Pars Equality Center Fremont Legal Services – Community Impact

March 7, 2024

Pars Equality Center Fremont has worked tirelessly in serving the Afghan community and other vulnerable immigrant communities of Alameda county since opening in January 2022.  This year, Pars Fremont has launched the 2024 Pars Fremont Pro Bono project, where Pars legal staff, including Managing Attorney, Sima Alizadeh, DOJ Accredited Rep, Sara Ahrar, and Legal Admin, Wagma Ghani, work alongside Pars volunteer pro bono attorneys to provide a significant impact to the community by way of monthly citizenship and green card renewal clinics, as well as adjustment of status and family petition clinics.  These clinics have been very well received by the community, and as of January 2024, the clinics have served 93 individuals. We thank our pro bono partners, AILA NorCal, BAL, and the Iranian American Bar Association.
