At Pars Equality Center, we remain deeply committed to protecting the rights, stability, and future of immigrant communities. We recognize that navigating the U.S. immigration system can be overwhelming, particularly during times of changing immigration policies and uncertainty.
We want to remind our community that you do not have to navigate these challenges alone.
Through our Immigration Legal Services Program, Pars Equality Center provides culturally and linguistically responsive legal services to California residents and their families in both Northern and Southern California. Our dedicated immigration legal teams work to help individuals and families understand their rights, explore available immigration options, and navigate complex legal processes with confidence. Our immigration legal services are available free of charge to eligible low-income individuals and families. Other services may be available at reduced cost, depending on eligibility and program requirements.
Our Immigration Legal Services Program offers assistance with:
- Immigration Legal consultations
- Citizenship application assistance
- Support with adjustment of status (green card applications)
- Family-based petitions and consular processing
- Work authorization (EAD) applications and renewals
- Asylum applications
- VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) self-petitions, Immigration Relief for Survivors of Abuse.
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
- Travel Documents
- U Visa, Protection for Victims of Crime
- DACA, Initial & Renewal
- Know Your Rights education and community workshops
Community Immigration Clinics and Educational Events
In addition to our ongoing legal services, Pars Equality Center regularly organizes immigration clinics, educational workshops, and community events to increase access to reliable legal information and assistance.
Fremont Office: Our Fremont Immigration Legal Services Department hosts a monthly walk-in immigration clinic at the Fremont Family Resource Center. The Fremont office also organizes additional immigration community clinics throughout the year. With the support of a dedicated network of pro bono volunteers, we strive to make immigration legal services more accessible to individuals and families throughout Alameda County.
San Jose Office: Our San Jose Immigration Legal Services Department hosts various immigration-related community events throughout the year, including a monthly virtual Ask an Attorney event conducted in Farsi. These sessions provide community members with opportunities to learn about immigration-related topics and receive general legal information.
Los Angeles Office: Our Los Angeles Immigration Legal Services team provides immigration legal assistance on a weekly basis at Panorama City Library, offering services in Spanish and Farsi. These weekly services provide community members with an additional opportunity to access immigration legal information and assistance in a familiar and welcoming community setting.
