Dear friends,

This past month was Immigrant Heritage Month, and at PARS, immigrant integration and all the vital services to welcome and support newcomers are at the core of all we do. Our mission is anchored in helping new and recent immigrants build successful lives in the U.S. We are proud of our successes and strive to honor your support, including your generous donations, by working every day to protect rights, expand opportunities, and meet the evolving needs of the immigrant community.

In 2025, Pars Equality Center accomplished its mission with renewed purpose—serving more than 8,300 individuals amidst rapidly changing immigration policies, economic instability, and unprecedented community needs. Across our three offices, Pars delivered holistic services spanning immigration legal representation, consultations, education and outreach, social services, mental health care, small business development, and cultural engagement. As immigration laws and policies continued to evolve, our legal team remained on the front lines, helping immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and families navigate complex legal processes and secure lawful pathways to remain and thrive in the United States. We expanded our emergency response capacity, launched new mental health programs, deepened partnerships with universities and agencies, and supported hundreds of Afghan refugees as they rebuilt their lives. Despite these challenges, Pars grew stronger, more innovative, and more deeply connected to the communities we serve.

In 2026, we continue to redouble our efforts to do even more good for more people. The community is relying on us, and we are positioned to offer even more comprehensive wraparound services to those in need. From providing critical services like high-quality immigration legal services, housing placement, schooling assistance, digital and financial literacy, and benefit navigation, to ESL classes and culturally responsive mental health counseling for our clients—many coping with trauma and displacement—we strive to make the recent immigrant arrival one of care, compassion, and hope.

We are proud to say that, so far in 2026, we are on track to provide a myriad of crucial, expanded services, including immigration legal consultations and representation, benefit enrollments (Medi-Cal, CalFresh, Covered California, SSI), free IRS-certified tax services, career consultations, housing navigation, mental health services, Afghan refugee resettlement services, and much more. With your generous donations as our fuel, we will continue to work tirelessly for those who count on us.
